I love Richard Scary and so do the kids at my branch. Reading about his life and in particular his experience in school was not a suprise. I have found interestingly enough that quite a few children’s authors had trouble and negative experiences with their education including Patricia Polacco and Roald Dahl. If you haven’t seen Dahl’s site you should really check it out its a ball.
