Thanks Chrissy!

I'm glad you were able to make it. We invite our subs to attend every year, but very few ever take us up on it (particularly since it's a non-paid event for subs). Your description is very good and I greatly appreciate your excellent review (particularly your astute observation that the "too much free time" comments may have been a result of people not taking advantage of the health screening and blood drive). But, I'd like to point out one or two minor corrections just so there are no misunderstandings regarding the funding (which can be a very touchy subject when you’re a publicly funded organization).

The breakfast was graciously provided by our Library Trust and not paid for from operating funds and the Peggy Helmerich Friends of the Library, which is a separate group from the TCCL Friends of the Library, also helped underwrite the catered lunch. Also, only the Staff Development Day Committee (about 30 staff members who plan and coordinate the event) were given t-shirts as a small reward for all their hard work. Other than that, your description was spot on.

I'm sorry you didn't get the list of classes before-hand. Our event registration is done via our library intranet and you can only access it from a staff computer. You were right about the parking too. The new expansion was supposed to be completed before our event but it was delayed due to the poor weather. We did promote carpooling extensively, but again, only through inter-office email and the newsletter published on our intranet. I'll work harder in the future to make sure our subs are notified to access the intranet from a staff computer to register for the event and that our correspondence regarding the event is sent to our subs' home addresses.

Thanks for the great feedback and balanced review. I'm glad you were able to make it.
